Preschool Details: In 2010, University Settlement expanded into Brooklyn by taking over Children's Corner. This unique site provides critical early intervention and educational supports to form the foundation for a lifetime of learning to 170 children in the community every year. The center provides a full-year, full-day program (8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.) with eleven classrooms for children ages 2 to 4. Each classroom includes a head teacher, assistant teacher and teacher's aide, providing a balance of child-centered and teacher-directed experiences. The spacious, well-maintained facility includes computers and learning materials, a library, a rooftop playground, and a garden.
